Python SDK
arrekta-sdk (import arrekta_sdk) adds sync and async HTTP clients, typed models generated from
OpenAPI, the action API, units and errors on top of the reference package arrekta (core/). All
protocol code (encodings, crypto, transactions, PST, policies, filters) comes from the reference
implementation, so the SDK cannot drift from consensus.
Install
pip install arrekta-sdk # or: uv add arrekta-sdkRequires Python ≥ 3.13. It installs arrekta, the consensus library the SDK builds on, and
httpx; nothing from the full node.
To work on the SDK itself, install it from the repository:
uv venv -p python3.13 .venv
uv pip install -p .venv/bin/python -e core -e "sdk/python[dev]"
.venv/bin/pytest sdk/python # includes the shared conformance vectorsFirst call
from arrekta_sdk import Client
with Client("http://127.0.0.1:28332") as client:
print(client.get_chain())Next
